The new engine is boosted by an exclusive supercharger that produces 450 peak prop-shaft horsepower and 40 percent higher torque than its 400R predecessor. It features Mercury Racing's Quad Cam Four Valve (QC4) technology and is designed for a variety of high-performance applications, offering options like a surface-piercing Sport Master gearcase for high-speed boats and traditional 5.44 HD gearcases for other uses. The engine includes features like a high-capacity alternator, digital throttle control, and available Joystick Piloting for precise maneuvering.
